Homework is an integral part of a student's learning and, in fifth grade, students will learn to balance long term assignments with daily tasks.  The day's homework will be posted each morning, and students will have a designated time to update their agendas and review their homework with me each day.  If homework becomes a challenge for your child, please do not hesitate to let me know.

 

 

Routine Homework: 

Math: typically assigned daily
Independent Reading: 15+ minutes each night

Content Work: 2-3 times per week
Spelling: Weekly (assigned on Monday, Test on Friday)

 Booktalk: every other month
